University Centre Croydon is seeking a highly motivated, student-focused sessional lecturer with good subject knowledge, ICT and administrative skills, to teach specialist units of the BTEC HNC in Construction and the Built Environment course.

Applicants should have a first degree and postgraduate qualification in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline. A background in a related profession would be an advantage.

Candidates should also be able to evidence effective teaching, learning and assessment up to Honours degree level and have successful experience of setting high quality assessments. Knowledge of HNC programmes, as well as tutoring experience, is preferred. In addition applicants should ideally have completed, or be working towards, a PGCE/ DTLLS, or equivalent teaching qualification. 

Our students come from diverse backgrounds and the programme offers access to a wide range of career options. The successful candidate will need to be able to teach in a combination of online and in person lecture settings and be enthusiastic, highly organised and flexible. Good interpersonal skills, a willingness to work collaboratively within a small team, and the ability to provide high quality student support are essential.
