About the role
The successful candidate will join a team of enthusiastic and specialist staff within the technology department, who are driven by a keen desire for our students to reach and exceed expectations. We provide a stimulating and dynamic curriculum that encourages learners to be creative, inquisitive and promotes independence. Practical activities are at its core.
Teachers of Food work collaboratively to plan and deliver Food Preparation and Nutrition to GCSE, which is a well established, popular and exceedingly successful course.
The teaching of Food and Nutrition sits within the Art & DT Department, therefore the ability to deliver other Art and Design Technology specialism is desirable.
Design and Technology is excellently resourced and housed in a purpose built department consisting of two fully equipped food rooms, as well as specialist textiles, electronics, engineering, and product design workshops. These are maintained by two full time technicians.
