1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To engage, establish and maintain excellent relationships with referral partners such as JCP, employers, and specialist agencies / organisations to maximise Adult Education Budget course provision. Course provision includes a menu of accredited learning in employability / sector led / employer training solutions for employed and unemployed adult learners.

2. PERSON PROFILE

Someone who genuinely cares about making a difference to people’s lives, can build rapport quickly and gain trust whilst showing respect and transparency to partner organisations and individuals. Someone who has a good work ethic, is focused and able to use a variety of skills including effective planning, relationship building and awareness of the needs of different customer groups. Is clear, analytical and objective, with a non-judgemental approach and an excellent communicator. Is pro-active, constantly searching for new solutions and striving for the best solution for each referral partner. Is able to manage a number of different projects at one time. Is able to work well as part of a team as well as alone and organise own diary accordingly.

3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILTIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

a) To develop and maintain engagement processes for training solutions and strategies to ensure that referrals and course provision is maximised

b) To engage with individuals, groups and organisations within the Tees Valley area

c) Proactively engaging to establish relationships with JCP, community organisations and partner agencies

d) Build and maintain networks with key stakeholders including employers, jobcentre teams and funding providers

e) Promote benefits of employability programmes to employers through relationship marketing (via liaison with Business Development Advisers)

f) Manage employer accounts in relation to employability and recruitment drives

g) Undertake matching, sifting and interviewing of candidates to meet employer specifications

h) Deliver on agreed targets

i) Conduct inductions / information sessions to cohorts of learners to provide an overview of provision and carry out initial assessment of learners

j) Observe and adhere to customer service standards so that all learners are provided with the same high standard of service that maximises their chances of securing sustainable employment
