Dearne Valley College is a part of the RNN Group, a group of education and training organisations which also includes Rotherham College, North Notts College and University Centre Rotherham.

At Dearne Valley College we provide courses for school leavers including apprenticeships, and courses for adults including degrees and higher-level courses and adult skills courses. You can study from entry level through to level 3 (equivalent level to A-levels) before choosing to progress on to degrees and university-level courses with us.

We specialise in a technical and career-focused training and education and will provide you with high quality learning combining hands-on and practical skills, valuable work experience and the technical, underpinning knowledge.

Our campus is based in the heart of the Dearne Valley in Wath-upon-Dearne, Rotherham, and is also easily accessible from Barnsley and Doncaster. 

Our technical courses and apprenticeships will help you develop essential employability skills by involving you in challenging projects, offering you opportunities for trips to places of interest related to your course, participation in guest speaker sessions with industry experts, and the chance to enter regional and national competitions, all supported by training in our industry-standard facilities from lecturers who are experts in their field.

The RNN Group is made up of three Colleges – Rotherham College, North Notts College and Dearne Valley College.

The Group also opened University Centre Rotherham (UCR) in 2018, and in 2022 was the first educational institution to join The Bridge Skills Hub offering Higher Education courses to the North Notts community.
