Grade 6 SCP 11 – 17 37 hours per week. Term time only

£25,979 - £28,770 (pro rata)

Actual starting salary £22,396

Governors are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified person to offer high quality provision to ensure our pupils continue to make excellent progress in their social and academic skills.

The suitable candidate will:

· be energetic, innovative, enthusiastic and committed

· be able to use their own initiative, to support students in the classroom to ensure that they are making progress academically, socially and emotionally

· be able to assist with the writing of IDPs, OPP

· prepare, plan and deliver lessons and intervention sessions

· organise Person Centred Reviews

· liaise with parents/ professionals and agencies,

· be knowledgeable about the ALN Code of Practice

The successful candidate will receive the full support of the school in continuing their own professional development and he/she will join a school where staff are well supported by colleagues, there is a real strength of community and collegiate between all members of staff. Dylan Thomas is a rapidly growing, successful and forward thinking school which has seen a dramatic increase in pupil numbers and significant investment in facilities over the last three years. The school is oversubscribed in nearly all year groups. We have high expectations of all members of our school community with an emphasis on strong relationships and inclusivity.
