About the Candidate

We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented leader with a passion for educational excellence and an understanding of Higher Education quality frameworks. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, collaborative team player, and an analytical thinker who uses data to drive positive change. This person will be a changemaker by fostering a high-performance culture, ensuring continuous improvement, and influencing quality standards that directly impact student outcomes and experience.

About the Role

This positions offers the opportunity to shape the quality of Higher Education provision at a multi-site College. The role involves high-level collaboration across departments and external partners. It’s an excellent opportunity for career development in academic leadership, policy influence, and institutional quality management, with access to continuous professional development and national quality networks including Advance HE.

Role Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and monitoring of HE quality assurance and improvement processes across all campuses.

Work closely with HE teaching staff to develop and enhance the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.

Provide quality guidance on the development, validation, and continuous enhancement of HE programmes.

Operationally manage partnerships with Higher Education awarding organisation, ensuring compliance and academic integrity.

Analyse data from sources such as OFS, NSS, and Graduate Outcomes to inform quality improvements.

Support faculties in producing annual monitoring reports, self-evaluations, and quality improvement action plans.

Qualifications

  • First Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum Level 2 Maths and English qualification
  • Fellow of HEA and/or Teaching qualification

Essential Skills & Experience

  • At least 2 years experience of the higher education sector
  • Experience of programme development and validation
  • Experience of working with University or Higher Education Awarding organisations
  • Experience of using metrics and management information systems to drive improvements
  • Leading and contributing to quality enhancement or assurance processes in HE
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and students to ensure successful HE outcomes.
