About the Candidate
We would welcome applications from occupationally competent staff that have a proven record and experience of working within the engineering/refrigeration field to Apprentices at level 3. The successful applicant will possess relevant vocational experience and an assessing qualification. However, we are willing to support the successful applicant with training and qualifications.
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) Lecturer to join our team and inspire the next generation of HVAC professionals. As an RAC Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education on the principles and practices of refrigeration and air conditioning systems to Apprentices.
Role Responsibilities
- Teach theoretical and practical aspects of RAC systems, including thermodynamics, heat transfer, and system operation.
- Provide hands-on training in workshop environments, ensuring students develop the skills needed for maintenance, repair, and installation of RAC systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and regulations, integrating them into the curriculum.
- Assess apprentices progress, provide feedback, and support apprentices professional development and career guidance.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent, or commitment to complete within the first two years
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in industry specific subject.
- Minimum Level 2 Maths qualification
- Minimum Level 2 English qualification
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum of two years industry experience, with up-to-date knowledge of industry standard Practice.
- Working collaboratively with students and colleagues to review student progress, supporting achievement of learning and personal development goals.
- Planning, developing and leading a programme(s) taking into account all aspects of the learner journey.
- Using digital technologies safely, effectively and to promote innovative learning.
