Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Salary:

Newly Qualified: £27,386 - £32,565 FTE

Independent Practitioner: £41,596 - £46,389 FTE

Plus £1,000 Retention Bonus

About Us:

This School is a Special School, College, Children’s Home, and Adult Supported Living Houses with a dedicated team of 300 staff committed to enhancing the lives, communication, and wellbeing of children and young people with special needs. Situated on a picturesque 23-acre site on the edge of the Surrey Hills, our institution provides holistic care and education for our 70 students aged 5 to 19, who have diverse needs including autism, language and communication disorders, ADHD, severe and complex learning difficulties, and challenging behaviour.

Job Description:

We are looking for two Occupational Therapists to join our multidisciplinary therapy team with a focus on delivering therapy through both group and individual sessions. The ideal candidates will be compassionate, patient, and have a strong interest in mental health and learning disabilities in children and young people. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be HCPC registered and preferably possess experience or a keen interest in working with this demographic.

Responsibilities:

Conducting individual and group therapy sessions.

Managing and prioritizing caseloads effectively.

Building strong working relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.

Providing supervision and monitoring of therapy programs delivered by Therapy Assistants.

Collaborating with the education team, spending time in classrooms when necessary.

Participating in ongoing specialist training and professional development opportunities.

Completing Team Teach positive behaviour support training as part of the induction process.

Demonstrating physical and mental resilience essential for the role.

Requirements:

HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
