Job Title: Payroll Officer
Location: Cranleigh, Surrey
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks a year
Salary Range: £25,837 - £28,356 per annum, plus £1,000 retention bonus

Overview:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Do you have experience in office administration and payroll, coupled with excellent communication skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our HR Payroll team at our registered charitable trust in Cranleigh.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the administration of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly salary payments
Work with outsourced payroll company FS4S to process payroll
Provide guidance and support to staff regarding payroll inquiries
Monitor monthly payroll and provide updates to senior leadership team
Maintain accurate paperwork and records related to payroll
Liaise with Directors of HR and Finance regarding payroll matters
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth payroll operations
Uphold confidentiality and data protection regulations
Requirements:
Previous experience in payroll administration, ideally within a pensions environment
Proficiency in payroll and information management systems
Strong communication skills with empathy and patience
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
Willingness to undergo supported training as required
Compassion, patience, and empathy for the needs of vulnerable children and young people
Completion of Team Teach positive behaviour support training as part of induction
Additional Information:
Office based, with hours of work during term time from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (with ½ hour unpaid break each day)
Some flexibility possible over hours during school holidays
Own transport desirable due to rural location, but close proximity to village centre and bus stops
