Position Description:
They are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join the team in April 2024, on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment. As a Religious Education Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking about religious and moral issues. You will contribute to the spiritual and personal development of our students while promoting respect for different beliefs and perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lessons in Religious Education to students KS3 and cover GCSE and A level, following the school's curriculum and assessment guidelines.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and encouraged to participate actively in their learning.
Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Assess student progress effectively through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Religious Education curriculum and contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
Maintain positive communication with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering strong partnerships to support student achievement and well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. (will consider ECT )
A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education.
Experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level is desirable but not essential; NQTs are encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
