Job Title: Care Worker
Salary: £21,616 - £22,388 per year

Description:
We are a non-maintained specialist school, college, and children’s home dedicated to working with some of the UK’s most complex and vulnerable children and young people. Our team is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join us on a permanent basis. Experience is not required as full training and mentoring will be provided.
Responsibilities:
Support young people with complex learning disabilities, severe social communication, and behavioural issues.
Assist in the development of life skills, including personal care, meal preparation, shopping, and money handling.
Accompany and supervise activities both on and off-site, ensuring the safety and well-being of the young people.
Provide cover in the classroom during breaks for education staff.
Offer emotional support, guidance, and positive behaviour reinforcement.
Engage in team activities and collaborate with colleagues to provide holistic care.
Requirements:

Ability to work 37 hours per week in a 4-week shift pattern, including alternate weekends and undertaking sleep-in duties as required.
Willingness to undergo Team Teach positive behaviour support training as part of the induction process.
Commitment to completing a QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare within two years.
Possession of physical and mental resilience to work effectively with complex children and vulnerable young people.
Progression:
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress to a Senior Care Worker level after two years of working on the care team and completion of a QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (subject to satisfactory progression and appraisal), earning £22,772 - £25,012.
