Intent:
Our mission is to narrow the gap for SEND and disadvantaged pupils by providing tailored support and enrichment opportunities. Through mapped educational visits, workshops, and enrichment weeks like STEM, we aim to build knowledge, skills, and confidence in every child.
Implementation:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant , you will play a crucial role in delivering our rich and varied curriculum. Working closely with teachers, you will provide support to ensure all students can access learning opportunities and reach their full potential. Our approach includes:
Delivering tailored support to SEN and disadvantaged pupils to facilitate their learning and development.
Collaborating with teachers to implement creative and inquiry-led teaching strategies.
Promoting physical and mental well-being through activities such as PSHE, PE, and wider school initiatives.
Engaging students in cultural experiences and arts to broaden their horizons and foster character-building qualities.
Utilizing pupil premium funding to promote social mobility and equity, including funding school trips, investing in technology, organizing after-school clubs, and providing music lessons.
Requirements:
Experience working with children with special educational needs.
A passion for supporting the holistic development of children.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
