Role Overview:
As a Speech and Language Therapist at a lovely school in Cranleigh, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering interventions for students aged 5-19 with severe social communication difficulties and complex learning disabilities, primarily autism. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of therapists, educators, and support staff to create a nurturing environment where students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Devise, develop, and implement therapy programs for individuals and small groups of students.
Manage a caseload of approximately 18 students, setting termly targets and conducting assessments as necessary.
Provide supervision and guidance to Therapy Assistants.
Conduct assessments of students upon admission and for annual reviews.
Maintain registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
Qualifications and Skills:
HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
Experience working with individuals with complex learning disabilities, particularly autism.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Additional Information:
Full-time position based on 37 hours per week, working term time only (plus 5 In-service training days each academic year).
