Teacher of music

At the school music is at the core of the curriculum and valued by all staff and pupils. They believe that no student should be priced out of the opportunity to excel at music and learn and play a musical instrument in an authentic performance environment. Every student in KS3 receives two lessons of music a week. One of these lessons is a triple staffed, Big Band lesson. During this lesson students learn within instrument sections with an expert instrumentalist, as well as playing together as a Big Band. Students also participate in a further curriculum music lesson each week. As a result of their fantastic investment at KS3 they have great numbers at GCSE and students with a real love for music.

As a new all-through school, they are attempting to do the seemingly impossible; ensure all young people, regardless of background, have the real option to succeed at a top university. The team are committed to transforming the lives of students and do so through unwavering belief, positivity, creativity, hard work and collaboration.

The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Music to join their successful and supportive team. Instrumental skills and a willingness to learn and develop are essential. This post provides an excellent opportunity for an ECT to develop their career as well as more experienced teachers. The appointed person will be required to teach across KS3, KS4, and all ability ranges. They have a range of departmental initiatives which provide opportunities for the right candidate to cultivate their creative capabilities.
