About the role:
We are seeking to appoint a Casual Driver at Lacon Childe School as part of our school support team to cover staff absence, some regular casual hours will be available.
The successful candidate will be responsible for casual cover to:
• Drive the school minibus on an adhoc basis as required.
• Ensuring the safe collection and drop-off of students.
• Carrying out basic vehicle safety and cleanliness checks.
• Following all safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures.
• Representing the school with professionalism and care.
Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:
• Hold a UK driving licence.
• Have experience of driving larger vehicles (preferred but not essential).
• Be punctual, responsible and confident working around young people.
• Have a calm, supportive manner and strong awareness of pupil safety.
This role reports to the Premises Manager.
The post is casual, term time only. You may be required to work at various times throughout the academic year. Hours of work will be agreed with the Premises Manager.
