HR & PAYROLL ASSISTANT - PART TIME – 10 HOURS PER WEEK, all year round.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our hardworking and dedicated team of HR professionals, working in a fast paced and varied role. The role of HR and Payroll Assistant is pivotal to the success of the College in building a culture of trust, embedding the College’s values and sustaining a high performing workforce.

We are looking for a confident and resourceful HR and Payroll Assistant; with a proactive and positive approach to work, thorough and well organised and able to work independently and under pressure on a wide variety of generalist HR tasks. The candidate will also play a key role in supporting our Payroll Assistant with our outsourced payroll provision and provide cover during their absence, as and when required.  You will provide an outstanding service to line managers and employees alike, offering a professional and comprehensive Payroll and HR service.  Previous payroll and/or HR experience is not essential but would be extremely advantageous. In-house training will be given and the opportunity to study towards a formal qualification would also be considered for the right candidate.

The HR & Payroll Assistant will possess a CIPD Level 3 Certificate or an equivalent payroll qualification and must ideally have previous experience in either a HR Assistant or HR & Payroll Assistant role, or similar.

This is a part time position working 10 hours per week, ideally working over 2 days, however some flexibility in terms of working days/hours would be considered for the right candidate.

The salary range for this role is SFCA Support Staff pay points 8-12 (currently £24,010 - £26,927 full time equivalent)

As this role is part time, the actual salary is:

10/37 = 0.2702*£24,010 = £6,487.50 per annum to 0.2702*£26,927 = £7,275.68 per annum

The starting salary will be dependent upon experience.
