Franklin Sixth Form College is a thriving, successful sixth form college serving North East Lincolnshire and the surrounding rural and coastal area, with around 1,600 full-time 16-18 and 700 part-time adult students. Teacher of English (1 post – 0.6 FTE)
In achieving this aim, we recognise the vital role of our staff. We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of English with strong interpersonal skills to join our dedicated team of Teachers. The post is part time, 0.6 FTE, from August 2024. The successful candidates will have the ability to contribute to A levels in English Language and in English Literature as well as GCSE English Language. You will be joining an experienced, dynamic team with a strong tradition of innovative teaching and learning, and student support.
In addition, we would expect the successful candidate would become actively involved in our extensive Personal and Professional Development programme for example through creative writing, debate club, or student journalism and contribute to the broader life of the College.
You should be appropriately qualified in your specialist subject area (usually to degree level).
Salary for the post will be to a point within the 1 to 9 pay scale range £18,300 to £28,279.80 per annum (£30,500 to £47,133 FTE, in accordance with the Sixth Form College Teaching scale).
