Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As a Curriculum Team Leader Art and Photography at Chilton Trinity School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. Purpose of the role:
- Ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated Art and Photography curriculum.
- Be accountable for student progress within the subject areas of Art and Photography across all Key Stages.
- Monitor the quality of teaching within the Art and Photography curriculum area.
- Develop and enhance the teaching practice of others.

What You’ll Bring to Futura
We are looking for a passionate Curriculum Team Leader who:
- Qualifications: Has a good relevant Honours degree, must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with evidence of completion of induction. These qualifications ensure that the candidate has met the national standards required for teaching and has gained the necessary initial classroom experience to lead a department effectively.
- Experience: A minimum of two years' teaching experience across the full age and ability range in secondary education is essential. The candidate should have a strong understanding of recent developments in teaching and learning, as well as a proven ability to facilitate student progress and improvement. Familiarity with the National Curriculum and effective differentiation strategies is important, alongside experience in assessment for learning and delivering lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 11. Experience of managing a budget is desirable.
- Skills: Can demonstrate excellent classroom management and teaching skills, as well as strong leadership abilities to implement curriculum changes effectively. They should possess outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and team members. A high level of ICT proficiency for both teaching and administrative tasks is required, ensuring efficiency in lesson delivery and department management.
