Godalming College employs around 200 teaching and support staff on both a full and part-time basis. We have around 2000 full-time students age 16 to 19 years on 40 different courses at A level, BTEC and GCSE. The College also offers part-time courses for 14 to 16 year olds from local schools.
The College was rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted at our inspection in December 2019. The report noted:
We recognise and value the contribution of all staff in achieving our success. The College seeks to recruit, retain and develop high quality staff. We recognise that this will be achieved by embracing equality of opportunity and promoting diversity in our staff group.
We are very proud of our College, not only because of our proven track record of achieving excellent results but because of our wonderful sense of community – with teachers and students working in partnership to enable students to progress. In short, our mission as a College is simple: learning together for success and progression. As a specialist 16-19 provider and we pride ourselves on being able to offer our students individualised study programmes that suit each students’ needs, abilities and interests. We want all of our students to leave College with a love of learning and as confident, well-prepared individuals ready for their next step, whatever that maybe.
We offer an attractive work environment, a range of employment benefits which includes an occupational pension scheme as well as generous support for training and development. There is a catering service with food outlets and coffee shops and the College gym is available for staff use.
The College is within walking distance of Godalming Town Centre and the Railway station which serves the main London-Portsmouth line. Godalming is readily accessed from the A3 and free car-parking is available to staff on the College campus.
