Location: Satellite sites

Salary: £23,648.00 - £25,700.00 Per Annum

Working closely with the Estates Manager you will supervise the day to day running and the work (including work allocation) carried out by the Estates facilities and cleaning teams for the satellite sites, act as the local point of contact / liaison for both internal staff / students and external contractors and consultants, monitor the on-site activities of contractors, and report on Health & Safety arrangements and ensuring the security of the College campuses

Working flexibly, including evenings and weekends, you will be prepared to attend call outs, cover staff absences, work at and travel to any of the College premises as and when required.

With previous experience in a similar role you will hold an NVQ Level 3 in a relevant craft or equivalent work experience and be willing to undertake a HNC or BIFM equivalent qualification in Facilities / M&E Services. A Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) grade C or above Literacy and Numeracy qualification together with a Health & Safety IOSH qualification is also essential for this post.

With experience of supervising a team you will have up to date knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety issues, be able to work independently and effectively as part of a team and have strong administrative and IT skills.

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).

Covering satellite sites to include the Llwyn-Y-Bryn, Sketty Hall and Kingsway campuses.
