Health and Social Care Lecturer x 2 (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £21,136.00 - £38,680.00 Per Annum

Duration: 1 year

We are looking for an experienced, qualified, highly committed and motivated individual to teach and assess learners within the Health and Social Care programmes at Levels 1,2,3,4,5. This will also include delivery of Welsh Baccalaureate. Successful candidates should possess a relevant degree, have a thorough knowledge of their specialist subject field and ideally a recognised teaching qualification.

You will develop and employ a variety of learning strategies, including the use of ILT, to ensure excellence in teaching and learning and the achievement of course targets for retention and attainment.

As a confident communicator, with enthusiasm and an innovative approach, you will have the ability to motivate and inspire students to create a positive learning environment leading to an outstanding learner experience. Possessing excellent organisation and problem solving skills you will adopt a flexible approach to working patterns during the daytime and evening.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will be treated no less favourably than applications submitted in English. Gower College Swansea recognises the importance of delivering its services in Welsh and recognises the need to grow its bilingual workforce. Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).

12 hours, 52 weeks – Fixed term until January 2023 (Maternity cover)

18.5 hours, 52 weeks – Fixed term until February 2023 (Maternity cover)
