You will be responsible for providing educational and personal assistance to students with learning and/or physical difficulties ensuring that their support needs in an educational context are fully met. You will provide one-to-one or small group support under the direction of the Lecturer in the classroom and via online remote delivery, assisting with the development of the learners’ literacy and numeracy skills and oral and written instruction both in person and virtually online.

 You will act as a reader and prompter and ensure that reasonable adjustments are put in place for examinations and assessments. You will also support the learners outside the classroom as required e.g. on College trips, in public spaces, during lunch breaks and on journeys as necessary.

 You will be educated to GCSE level with passes in Maths and English (grades A-C) or equivalent. Experience of working with students with learning and physical difficulties would be a distinct advantage. Good IT skills and experience using online communication / teaching tools are essential for this role.

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).
