The Library Service is looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent customer care skills and a can-do attitude to work in a busy and sometimes demanding learning environment.

The successful candidate will place learners at the centre of all of their work supporting learners with a wide range of needs and abilities. They will have the ability to encourage collaborative learning styles as well as actively ensuring that learners also have a quiet place to study.

An active interest in digital technologies and new developments in technologies and learning is encouraged. An ability to communicate and enthuse learners to use certain digital platforms and online learning is also welcome.

As well as encouraging digital capabilities, the successful candidate will also work in print environments, preparing and tidying book stock and ensuring that key texts remain accessible, orderly and attractive to learners. A detailed knowledge of stock and learner needs is expected to develop in time. Similarly, a concern for the physical environment of the library is also a necessity in order to ensure that the learner experience is maximised.

Any experience of improving accessibility to ensure all learners are able to benefit from our services would be particularly welcome.

The ability to drive and travel between campuses is an essential requirement as is the ability to work an evening as part of a rota.
