Gower College Swansea consistently strives to provide its learners with the very best learner experiences and is looking to appoint two new Student Experience Assistants to join the vibrant and enriching student support team.

The main purposes of the role are to ensure a safe, secure, welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors, upholding the core values of the college. The successful candidates will have the ability to provide a highly visible, courteous and efficient service during college hours, encouraging learners to adhere to college policies and procedures, behave appropriately and be ambassadors for Gower College Swansea both on and off campus. They will efficiently monitor and address student

behaviour following college directives and refer students accordingly where necessary.

Additionally, candidates will need to be excellent team members, happy to support colleagues in the learner experience team in creating and encouraging learner involvement in a range of different tutorial, personal development and enrichment activities. With the role being such a learner focused position, successful candidates will be positive, confident, enthusiastic and skilled at engaging with a range of individuals and groups within the college community.

Gower College Swansea recognises the importance of delivering its services in Welsh and recognises the need to grow its bilingual workforce. We therefore encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate good Welsh Language skills

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to a start date before 1st February).
