The role:
Reporting to the Director of Estates, you will work in a small team, supporting the day-to-day operational management of the Department and the services it provides covering FM services, reactive and planned maintenance, health and safety, energy and environmental management, major projects, major incident and business continuity planning and property management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of the College’s Estates Strategy, providing innovative solutions to Estates development and facilities issues.
- Plan and organise minor building works, reactive and planned maintenance for all College sites, and be responsible for overseeing and managing specific estates projects as they arise, ensuring projects are completed to time.
- Working with the Health & Safety and Environmental Manager contribute towards the College’s strategy towards environmental sustainability including development of pollution control, pollution prevention, recycling and waste management programmes.
- To act as ‘responsible person’ and ‘authorised person’ for specialist duties, such as legionella management, asbestos control, gas management, and permits.
- Budget and capital spend / fiscal planning, variance reporting, trend identification together with exceptional, RAG (or similar) reports on spend.
About you:
- Degree OR equivalent professional qualification
- Chartered membership of appropriate organisation OR working towards chartered membership
- Previous experience of working within Estates and Facilities Management role including managing minor capital works from start to finish.
