The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, talented and highly motivated individual to teach A Level Biology and Level 3 Medical Science. The ideal candidate should possess a suitable Biology degree, have successful experience of teaching A Level Biology in a post-16 setting. This is a superb opportunity for a first class applicant to join an established department and work in a College with an excellent reputation for A Level delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a team to develop and employ a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback throughout the academic year.
  • Ensure excellence in teaching and learning is a key priority for the College.
  • Make a full contribution to team meetings and have a positive impact on the overall quality of this subject area.

About you:

  • Possess an undergraduate degree in Biology or equivalent subject.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification or be working towards one.
  • Able to demonstrate successful experience of teaching in a post-16 setting.
  • A very confident communicator and committed individual who can manage and inspire learners of all abilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a team player.
