The Role

To lead and grow the College’s commercial and apprenticeship development portfolio by securing new business, strengthening client relationships, and overseeing the creation of high-value commercial proposals that support organisational growth and deliver strong employer outcomes.

Full time (37 hours per week)

£57,464 per annum

Key Responsibilities

Lead the College’s business development function, ensuring cohesive delivery across all commercial activity aligned to growth priorities.

Provide clear direction to teams responsible for client acquisition, account management, commercial opportunity development and proposal production.

Foster strong collaboration between business development, curriculum, marketing and quality teams to maximise commercial outcomes.

Oversee a structured commercial pipeline covering new client acquisition and existing account growth.


About You

Degree or equivalent qualification

Leadership and Management qualification, or willingness to work towards one

Proven experience in business development, commercial sales or client management

Experience leading teams to achieve commercial or income targets

Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
