The Role:

Part-time (32.5 hours per week)

Term Time (38 weeks per year)

Permanent

£19,324 per annum (£13.52 per hour)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all staff, students and visitors.
  • Engage with learners to ensure a well-ordered, safe, supportive, accessible and stimulating environment is maintained.
  • Respond enthusiastically and supportively to the enquiries of users.
  • Ensure the environment is conducive to a variety of learning styles, managing poor behaviour and take appropriate and proportionate action towards learners who may undermine that environment.
  • Provide general support for those seeking help with IT and Microsoft packages, and simple research and study requests, signposting users to the appropriate level of resource and/or an appropriate Advisor.

About you:

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent including Maths and English.
  • Excellent customer care skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of a Library/Learning Centre and how it operates.
  • Works well in a team.
