The Greville is a large primary school with two forms of entry at KS1 and four forms of entry at KS2. We are looking to appoint a senior leader to be the school’s Inclusion Leader who is passionate and determined to make a difference championing children with additional needs including those with SEND, ensuring they are supported, engaged and achieving well in their learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the Inclusion provision and will be an exemplary practitioner. This is a varied role, which would suit an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual who is also responsible for leading the SEND provision across the school. It is an ideal post for an existing SENDCo to join our leadership team or we will consider an aspiring SENDCo who wants to develop their leadership. It is a non-class based role.
The role includes line managing the SENDCo Assistant and a Behavioural Support Assistant, who are part of the Inclusion team.
You will:
- Need to be a highly effective teacher with drive and passion to ensure excellent inclusive practice
- Have a range of school experience across the primary age range
- Be dynamic and forward thinking, with the knowledge and expertise to build on established processes and procedures
- Have the drive and ability to secure excellent rates of progress for all children
- Have the National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-Ordination, or be willing to complete the award
- Have a thorough understanding of the SEND code of practice
- Remain informed and knowledgeable about the latest developments in education.
- Provide a high level of communication with parents and other agencies and be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Have high expectations of themselves and others
- Be enthusiastic and committed to work collaboratively across the whole school community
- Have strong organisational skills
- Have a sense of fun and be willing to become part of our happy team

Salary: Leadership Scale L4 - L7 FTE £52,116 - £56,126 (pro rata £41,692.80 - £44,990.80)
Hours: 80/100 (4 days minimum) and non-class based
