Caretaking and Lettings Supervisors

GWA are looking to appoint additional Caretakers to join our site team. These hours will be on evenings and weekends all year round to support current and new lettings. There are a number of sessions available and we would expect staff to commit to regular weekly slots (the number of slots each person would do is entirely negotiable). Please state in your application form (or covering letter) which sessions you would like to cover.

Available sessions are:-

Monday evenings 5pm – 9.30pm

Tuesday evenings 5pm – 9.30pm

Wednesday evenings 5pm – 9.30pm

Thursday evenings 5pm – 9.30pm

Friday evenings 5pm – 9.30 pm

Saturdays 9am – 5pm

Sundays 9am – 2pm

GWA is committed to making Great Western Academy a key resource for the local community and as such we open the Academy to those who wish to use the facilities. We will be able to hire out our new 3G pitch to the local community soon.

The role would involve the following responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the building for lettings at evenings, weekends and school holidays.

• Occasional maintenance work

• Support for the premises team

• Cover for the other caretakers in their absence

• Driving the school minibus (if possible but not essential)

Additional benefits of working at GWA include:

• Excellent CPD opportunities

• State of the art facilities

• Health and Wellbeing Support Service

• Local Government Pension Scheme

• Cycle to work scheme through Cyclescheme

• Access to EV charging on site. Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice scheme

• Exciting discounts for days out, experiences and retailers

• Easy access to the A419 and free parking

The role would suit someone who has spare time at the evenings and weekends. Experience of a similar role would be helpful but not essential as training will be provided.

If you would like to speak to somebody about this role, or visit the school, please contact Glen Wonfor (Facilities Manager) via the school office.  Applications should be submitted electronically to recruitment email by 9am Friday 3rd May 2024. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 8th May 2024.

Please note we may interview before the closing date (and close the advert early) depending on the suitability, and number of, applicants
