We pride ourselves in providing the very best opportunities and experiences for our young people on an extensive campus offering enviable facilities which supports a broad and exciting curriculum.

We believe that education should be life-long, life changing, life affirming and personalised to meet the needs of our students during their time with us from 11 to 18. Every member of the HAJC6 community works tirelessly to achieve this.

Although we are a big school, we take pride in our relationships between staff and students, ensuring that 'no child is lost in the crowd' and all feel safe, happy and successful. Our high standards in uniform, behaviour and attitudes to learning are the essential ingredients which create a respectful, calm and purposeful ethos.

We have an excellent team of teachers and support staff who are all dedicated to providing the challenge and support your child needs to realise their dreams. We value and nurture the individual, providing opportunities for developing character through leadership, sports, the arts and a huge range of extra-curricular provision.

We are at an exciting time in our journey towards providing a world-class education, built on the best of our two founder schools with strong traditions in producing internationally renowned sports stars and top quality musicians and performers. Our students go on to take up prominent positions in the fields of medicine, science and other high quality professions, but above all become well rounded individuals. Our motto of 'excellence in everything we do' ensures we are never complacent in our ambitions.

About Us

The Hinckley Academy and John Cleveland Sixth Form Centre opened in September 2015 as a result of two good schools closing and a new 11-18 school opening on the former John Cleveland College site. The school has 1450 students including 550 in the sixth form. Our purpose is to ensure that the School is recognised as a symbol of excellence and an enjoyable place in which to learn and develop. We have high expectations of our students and expect them to strive for personal excellence and maintain high standards of discipline and behaviour at all times. A wide and varied curriculum is provided along with an extensive range of activities, which go beyond the school day. I believe that Hinckley Academy and John Cleveland Sixth Form Centre has much to offer and provides outstanding opportunities for both students and staff. We strongly believe in developing good relationships with parents, this partnership is vital if students are to achieve their full potential both now and in the future.
