We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Lead – Complex Care to provide clinical leadership and oversight for learners with complex medical needs across our Foundation Learning, Additional Learning Support, PMLD, and mainstream provision at Harrow.

As the Medical Lead, you will ensure that learners receive high-quality, safe, and effective care that supports their health, wellbeing, and educational outcomes. You will lead on the planning, coordination, and monitoring of medical support arrangements, ensuring that learners' individual healthcare needs are met and that services remain responsive to evolving requirements.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, healthcare professionals, families, and college staff to coordinate specialist support, including physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and medication administration. The role will also involve providing guidance, training, and compliance monitoring for Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and Learning and Care Support Assistants (LCSAs), ensuring staff are equipped to support learners confidently and safely.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse or Qualified Nursing Associate/Healthcare Assistant who can demonstrate the following:

• Trained in Manual Handling, First Aid, Safe Administration of Medication, Epilepsy, Anaphylaxis, Dysphagia and Diabetes including the safe administration of emergency medication  

• Knowledge of the Children and Families Act and the SEN and Disability Code of Practice 0-25 years and associated regulations

• Experienced in working with learners with Profound and Complex SEND  

• Extensive understanding of CQC Standards and Regulations

• Experienced in producing individual Care Plans and Risk Assessments

• Good understanding of Health and Social Care processes

• The ability to manage a team effectively
