Salary  Unqualified: £28,582 - £30,282 annum (pro-rata) + £3,000 MRA

             Qualified: £31,182 - £36,084 per annum (pro-rata) + £6,000 MRA

Do you have a passion to teach and share your knowledge and expertise with students?

We are looking for an inspirational lecturer to teach and assess on our Level 3 Games Design Courses - with the possibility for you to teach other related programmes including HE & apprenticeships.

This is an exciting and growing area within the college group and we are seeking a creative digital practitioner to help drive the department forward.

The successful candidate should be qualified to degree level in a subject area such as Games design or Graphics and animation with a comprehensive and recent experience of working in a relevant environment. You must have experience teaching software development and will have a good understanding of Unreal Engine 5, Maya, Substance Painter, and Adobe Creative Suite, and the game development cycle, a passion for developing knowledge and skills of learners in order for them to succeed. Desirable skills would include Industry experience in game production pipelines, including the use of software such as Blender, Rizom UV, and ZBrush, alongside specialisations in areas such as animation, motion capture, VFX, particles, or narrative design. Familiarity with delivering on, and assessing BTEC programs, is also desirable

The successful applicant will deliver predominantly on our successful Games Design course but may also include some web design/ graphic elements.

You should hold a teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or display a willingness to work towards the Level 5 Diploma teaching qualification (supported by CPD) upon appointment. You must also have experience of delivering lessons at a standard of 'Good' or above, possess excellent communication skills and be highly motivated to provide an outstanding service to our learners.

You will contribute effectively to the successful learning experiences of students in the College through effective teaching that meets or exceeds College standards and results in high levels of student retention and achievement.
