Stamford College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Business to join our thriving team. About the Role

As a Lecturer in Business, you'll be at the heart of our students' learning journey. You'll deliver engaging and effective teaching, assess student work with constructive feedback, and play a key role in developing and coordinating our diverse range of Business courses. We're looking for someone who can not only impart knowledge but also ignite a genuine interest in the business world, fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment.

This is a full-time, all-year-round position (37 hours per week), reporting to the Assistant Head of Faculty.

 

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with a strong background in business and a commitment to teaching excellence.

 

Essential Qualifications:

A Level 5 Teaching qualification (e.g., DTTLS, Diploma in Education and Training, Cert Ed, or PGCE) OR a commitment to achieving this within three years of employment (we'll provide the training!).

A minimum of degree, or professional industry qualification in a relevant business subject.

Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.

An Assessor Award (A1/TQA/CAVA).

 

Key Experience & Knowledge:

Comprehensive and recent experience working in business.

In-depth knowledge of business specialisms to teach across Levels 1 to 3.

Understanding and experience of embedding English and maths into curriculum delivery.

 

Essential Skills:

Ability to inspire, motivate, and raise aspirations of students.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.

Creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning strategies.

Excellent planning, organisation, and administrative skills.

Proficiency in using Information Learning Technology (ILT) in teaching.

A collaborative spirit, able to work effectively within a team and independently.
