We are looking for a Senior Admissions Officer to play a key role in managing and developing our admissions processes, supporting applicants from first contact through to enrolment.

About the role

In this role, you will take ownership of the admissions process, ensuring applications are handled efficiently, accurately and in line with UCAS and internal requirements. You will also support the coordination of the admissions team and work closely with colleagues across the college to deliver a seamless applicant journey.

Alongside this, you will contribute to outreach and recruitment activity, particularly supporting students from underrepresented groups, helping to widen participation in higher education.

  • Deliver recruitment, outreach and applicant engagement activities, including one-to-one guidance sessions
  • Maintain accurate data and produce reports to support recruitment and admissions performance
  • Work collaboratively with Academic Services, Student Services, MIS and Marketing teams
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of admissions processes and policies

About you

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident in managing processes and supporting others.

You will have:

  • Experience in administration and customer service
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence working with data, systems and processes
  • Experience within a higher education or admissions environment, or knowledge of UCAS processes, would be advantageous.

Why join us?

We offer a Local Government Pension Scheme, 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and opportunities for professional development.
