We’re looking for a detail-focused, organised and enthusiastic Student Records Administrator to join our Management Information Services (MIS) team at Peterborough College.

You’ll play an important role in keeping student records accurate, up to date and compliant — ensuring our students, staff and curriculum teams receive the very best service.
What you’ll be doing
As our Student Records Administrator, you will:
- Accurately process key student data including enrolments, withdrawals, transfers and completions.
- Support teams across the College by managing student change requests in a timely and efficient way.
- Assist with data checking, validation and quality assurance to maintain high standards.
- Take part in enrolment activities and help ensure student data is captured correctly from day one.
- Provide friendly support through our MIS service desk — answering queries, updating records and helping colleagues across departments.
- Keep your knowledge up to date around ESFA, HESA and local authority requirements.
- Work closely with MIS colleagues and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Occasionally travel to other IEG sites to support projects or enrolment tasks.
What we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Essential:
- Level 2 qualifications, including English and Maths.
- Experience working in a data or administrative role.
- Great communication skills and confidence interacting with staff at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and confidence working with IT systems.
- The ability to stay organised, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A friendly, customer-focused approach and a willingness to help others.
- A commitment to safeguarding and equality, and the professionalism to handle confidential information appropriately.
Desirable:
- Experience working within an FE environment (though not essential).
- IT qualifications such as ECDL/ITQ.
