Learning Support Assistant

32.5 hours per week, term time only - Fixed Term Contract until 31.08.27
Grade 14 £25,185 - £25,989 per annum pro rata - Actual Starting Salary £18,458
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. The role will involve supporting students in lessons across a variety of subjects, targeted interventions, as well as providing 1:1 support for individual students when required. Working closely with teaching staff and the SEND team, you will play a key role in promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational or SEN setting
• A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers
• A commitment to inclusion and supporting students to reach their full potential
• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
• Ability to support a range of subjects
• Ability to respond to changing priorities in a fast-moving environment
