Lambeth Gateway College is seeking an experienced and ambitious Curriculum Head – SEND / Inclusive Learning to lead, develop, and deliver a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that enables learners with SEND to achieve positive outcomes and progress confidently into further study, employment, and adulthood.
This is a senior curriculum leadership role with responsibility for strategic development, quality assurance, staff leadership, and partnership working. The successful candidate will ensure SEND provision is student-centred, outcomes-focused, and fully compliant with statutory, funding, and Ofsted requirements.
You will line-manage a team of teachers and support staff and oversee a range of SEND programmes aligned to clear career pathways and the College’s strategic priorities and mission.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- Proven experience in SEND curriculum leadership within FE or a similar setting with successful proven track of management experience.
- Demonstrable experience of providing strategic leadership for SEND / Inclusive Learning provision within post-16 education.
- Significant experience in designing, sequencing, and reviewing student-centred SEND curricula.
- Ability to develop ambitious, accessible programmes aligned to progression into employment, further study, and independent living.
- Expertise in promoting high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment across SEND provision.
- Experience of overseeing and supporting effective delivery of English and maths for SEND learners in collaboration with cross-college teams.
- Substantial experience of line-managing teaching and support staff within SEND or Inclusive Learning.
- Experience leading CPD, coaching, and performance management to develop inclusive teaching practice.
- Experience leading self-assessment processes and quality improvement planning within SEND provision.

This role is offered on a Permanent and Full time (36 hours a week) basis.
