We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter with a passion for maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. Your role will involve supporting the kitchen team by ensuring all equipment, utensils, and workspaces are properly cleaned and sanitised, assisting with food preparation as needed, and helping to maintain stock levels and inventory.
Working as a Kitchen Porter at South Bank Colleges is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a high-quality food service environment. You will play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly, supporting the chefs and kitchen staff, and ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met at all times. Your efforts will help create an enjoyable dining experience for students, staff, and guests, while supporting a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.
Skills & Experience
- The ideal candidate must have the following;
- Kitchen hygiene and maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas to meet standards
- Assisting with receiving deliveries and storing supplies, assisting with stock rotation and inventory control
- Assisting the kitchen team with food preparation
- Adhering to health and safety standards of the kitchen
- Time management and organisation
This role is offered at 34 hours a week on a Permanent basis.
