We are looking to appoint a new Clerk for our school’s Local Governing Body (LGB) as we move forward as member of the Learning Partners Multi Academy Trust.
The successful candidate will be contracted for 90 hours per school year, based on 10 hours per meeting plus 5 hours for other admin each half-term; hours of work will mainly be during school term time and while attendance at meetings and termly clerk briefings is necessary, the remainder of the role can be carried out remotely. Further hours may be added by mutual agreement as required.

The Clerk’s role is mainly focused on the management and administration of six LGB meetings each academic year. There are two meetings each term and these are held on school site with a 4.00p.m. start time and a 6.00/6.30p.m. finish time. The Clerk will work closely with the Chair of LGB and the Headteacher to prepare agendas, send out paperwork as requested, produce minutes and maintain accurate records relating to the LGB.
Full training and support will be provided as required. We have access to guidance and advice from the Learning Partners Governance team and the school is a member of the National Governance Association.
