Help us to build our school!
Surrey Maths School (SuMS) is a specialist 16-19 Maths School opening in Guildford in September 2024 to serve students across the South East, aiming to become a hub of excellence for the teaching of the mathematical sciences.
We are looking to appoint a SENDCO to work with us in supporting our students with SEND and other needs as we open our doors in September 2024.
The role would suit an already established SENDCO looking for a part-time role or for a teacher of one of the subjects taught at SuMS who may have experience of, and a real interest in, working with students with Special Educational Needs. Full support and training will be given to the post-holder.
It is essential that our students feel supported as they transition to a new school and the SENDCO will play a proactive and significant role in this, liaising with students and their families as well as other professionals. This is a wonderful opportunity to play a leading role in establishing and developing the SEND provision at SuMS as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
At Surrey Maths School you will be part of a small, enthusiastic team working with students who are driven and excited by mathematical sciences. Take a look at our SuMS information pack for prospective staff for more information about the broader school and what you can expect from working with us.
