Administrative Assistant

Northmead Junior School, part of Learning Partners Academy Trust, are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly organised Administrative Assistant to provide support on a broad range of administrative activities as a member of the school office team to enable the school to function efficiently. This is a part time permanent position term time only (39 weeks). The hours of work are 8.30am to 3.45pm Monday to Wednesday. Salary LPT4 £24,872 - £26,636 per annum (£12,141 – 13,002 pro-rata).

The Administrative Assistant will undertake reception duties and provide a courteous welcome to all stakeholders and visitors, acting as the first point of contact in response to telephone and face-to-face enquiries. They will carry out a range of administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the school office.

The right candidate will:

  • Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with a minimum C grade in Maths and English.
  • Have previous experience of working in an administrative support role in a busy office environment.
  • Have good time management skills and ability to prioritise and use own initiative.
  • Have good written and oral communication skills with the ability to build sound relationship with staff and customers.
  • Have excellent IT skills
  • Be able to work harmoniously and cooperatively with school colleagues, children, parents, governors, Learning Partners Academy Trust and members of the local community.
