Trainer Assessor in Hospitality and Catering. Full Time. Term Time Only (40 weeks per year). Permanent.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Trainer Assessor to support our students with practical assessments and employability skills within our Hospitality department. You will join a professional team dedicated to student success and progression based at our Freemen's Park Campus.
The role will involve establishing and maintaining effective learning and assessment activities to keep students motivated in our award-winning Taste restaurant, Zest café and our formal training kitchens. We offer a range of vocational courses from entry level to level 3.
You will be an experienced Chef who can demonstrate general and fine dining cookery and pastry skills and be qualified to at least a Level 3 in the vocational area. You will also have achieved a Level 2 in English and maths.
The willingness to explore new and innovative ways of assessing and motivating students is essential to this role along with a strong focus on teamwork, communication and continual improvement.
Therefore, you will be expected to attend ongoing training and development activities to maintain competence in assessment practice and the subject area.
A flexible approach to working and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet assessment deadlines and timely completion of paperwork is also required.
