Leicester College Hair and Beauty department is looking to recruit sessional Lecturers in Hairdressing and/or Barbering. The successful candidate will have current industry knowledge and experience. Experience of teaching or training will be an advantage. This is a great opportunity to join an exciting, creative and well-resourced department at Leicester College.
Your role will be to teach a range of students across different levels and courses, which includes Levels 1 through to Level 3.
Ideally with a Level 3 qualification or equivalent industrial experience in Hairdressing and/or barbering, you will also have the ability to work as part of a team and undertake teaching duties including planning and preparation of lessons, maintenance of workshops, and to provide consistent and reliable support that enables learners to develop their skills and knowledge. You must be educated to Level 2 minimum in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent).
You will have excellent communication skills and a ‘can do’ approach to tasks. Experience of working with students would be beneficial.
