Leicester College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice Skills Coach, formerly known as Trainer Assessor, with current engineering experience in fabrication or welding. We are looking for an individual who has the passion and ability to impart their experience, skills, and knowledge to a caseload of engineering apprentices.
Responsibilities:
Conduct 8-10 weekly high-quality tripartite reviews of apprentices' progress across the holistic program.
Provide constructive feedback that motivates apprentices and helps them overcome potential barriers to progression.
Support apprentices in successfully passing their Apprenticeship End Point Assessment.
Uphold the high standards of service expected by both students and local, regional, and national employers.
Skills:
Current engineering experience in fabrication or welding.
Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards and E-portfolio system (Smart Assessor) is beneficial.
Experience working with apprentices is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and a positive, 'can do' approach to tasks.

Qualifications:
You must hold a Level 3 Fabrication and Welding Qualification.
Have relevant and current Engineering experience.
Ideally hold or be prepared to work towards an Assessor and Verification award, e.g., TAQA, A1 or V1.
A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in maths and English or equivalent.
