Leicester College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor to join our Wellbeing team on a part-time, permanent basis (24 hours per week, over 3 days, term time only).

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an experienced practitioner with a recognised counselling qualification at Diploma level or above
  • Have a minimum of 200 hours of clinical practice
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths or the equivalent e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above
  • Be confident in managing a varied caseload, working both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary wellbeing team
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills

The successful candidate will hold current membership with a recognised professional body (e.g. BACP, UKCP) and demonstrate clear adherence to relevant ethical and professional standards.

The role involves delivering counselling support across Leicester College campuses using a blended approach, including face-to-face, telephone, and online sessions.
