Programme Lead for Electrical Installation & Maintenance. Apprenticeship and Commercial. Full Time. Permanent.  

Leicester College's Apprenticeship and Commercial Operations Department is one of the largest apprenticeship providers in the region with an ambitious vision for delivering gold standard apprenticeship programmes that positively shape the future careers of all Leicester College learners. We are seeking a full-time Programme Lead to oversee and deliver on their Electrical installation and Maintenance Apprenticeship programme. The ideal candidate will have a passion to continually develop the high standards required to be an Electrical within the Electrical workplace environment. You will have hands-on experience of all areas of the Electrical working environment and understand its value in the construction industry. In addition, you will require up-to-date knowledge and be able to reinforce, develop and guide efforts made by your students. You should have extensive knowledge of industry best practices that can help students to succeed in their learning journey.

As a Programme Lead, you will oversee an expanding cohort of Alectrical Apprenticeships. Plan and monitor the delivery and all aspects of the apprenticeship programme. You will deliver a variety of units across the Electrotechnical apprenticeship standard. This apprenticeship is part of the recently developed Apprenticeship Standards and is a popular course that is offered by the college. You will have the opportunity to be an integral part of the team responsible for developing and enhancing this programme.  

The successful applicant will possess a range of skills relating to the Electrotechnical apprenticeship standard. You also will be able to work as part of a team, provide feedback in a way that motivates individuals and help learners overcome potential barriers to progress and achieve. We are looking for a positive, proactive, solutions focused individual to help us drive the provision to support our journey to outstanding.

Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards, E - portfolio’s (Smart Assessor) and experience of working with students would be beneficial along with excellent communication skills and a 'can do' approach to tasks.

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

Teaching qualification (Level 5 or above).

You must hold or be prepared to work towards an Assessors award e.g. A1/TAQA or equivalent.

You must hold at least a Level 3 qualification in a relevant Electrical subject.

Level 2 qualified in English and maths or equivalent.

You must have relevant experience within the Electrical industry.
