Head of Student Equality and Diversity. Full Time. Permanent.

In this key role you will lead and continue to develop our commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. You will manage a number of support teams within our Student Services Department and be a member of the College Safeguarding team.

Reporting to the Director of Student Services and Marketing, you will engage with colleagues across the College to actively promote an inclusive environment as well as building relationships with external partners and key stakeholders. The role involves leading on the development of the College’s EDI Strategy, providing advice and guidance on EDI matters to departments and curriculum areas together with providing training and support to teams, as well as developing EDI initiatives and programmes aligned to the College’s equality objectives.

You will be managing a number of teams including; Nurseries, Careers, Welfare, and the Customer Service Centre. 

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level and have proven experience of advancing equality and diversity within an educational setting at a strategic level. You will have up to date knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislations and how they apply to our student population. Experience of developing strategy/policy documents and the ability to present, analyse and use data effectively are all essential requirements of this role.

You will also have successful experience of managing teams, supporting young people and of leading service improvement within an educational or other complex service environment.
