An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Engineering Department for an experienced and highly motivated Lecturer in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering. We are seeking applicants with a strong background in aerospace, aviation, or a related engineering field, ideally with the ability to deliver a range of subjects aligned to the Pearson Level 3 to Level 5 qualifications, including the new T-Level in Engineering and Manufacturing.

The successful candidate will contribute to full-time and part-time provision, teaching students across Levels 3 to 5. Delivery may include core units such as Aircraft Systems, Avionics, Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Health and Safety in Aviation, and Engineering Project Management, depending on your area of expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering engaging theoretical and practical lessons that meet industry and curriculum standards

- Managing and conducting assessments in line with awarding body guidelines

- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records on College IT systems

- Supporting retention, achievement, and progression outcomes

- Contributing to internal verification processes and continuous quality improvement across the programme

Experience working in an aviation, aerospace, or engineering training environment is desirable. However, we also welcome applications from industry professionals who are passionate about education and ready to transition into teaching. Support is available for exceptional candidates without a full teaching qualification, as part of our commitment to developing staff and maintaining industry relevance in our curriculum.

Applicants should be confident using digital learning platforms and able to support both classroom-based and remote delivery models where required.

Essential Qualifications:

- Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (or equivalent e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above)

- Level 3 qualification (minimum) in Aerospace, Aviation Engineering, or a related discipline

- Degree (Level 6 qualification)

- A full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above or be willing to work towards obtaining one. If you do not hold a suitable teaching qualification, the college will support you to obtain this as part of our investement in your professional development.

If you are excited by the opportunity to shape the future of aerospace and aviation engineering education and share our passion for inspiring the next generation of professionals, we would be delighted to receive your application.
