Programme Area Manager Business, Travel and Tourism. Full Time. 37 Hours Per Week. Permanent.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic professional to join our Business, Enterprise, Computer Science, Travel and Hospitality management team.  You will lead the growing Programme Area of Travel and Tourism and also manage Higher Education courses in Business and Travel.  You will work flexibly with two other Programme Area Managers in the dynamic and fast-growing area of Business, Enterprise and Travel.  You will have knowledge or experience of the Business / Travel and Tourism sector and the impact of curriculum reform. Provision ranges from level 1 to level 6 so experience of delivering or leading HE as well as FE provision would be an advantage. 

 

You will support the Director of Curriculum in the strategic development and management of a range of curricula including study programmes, full cost, community and Adult provision. You will be passionate about teaching and learning, have a strong track record of effective performance management and quality improvement. You will be creative and dynamic and will be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and inspire the team to deliver outstanding results and plan effectively to ensure challenging targets are achieved.

 

You will: 

Hold a level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above, or equivalent)

Be educated to degree level (or equivalent)

Hold a full teaching qualification at level 5 or above

Have a background and experience of working in at least one of the sectors covered.
